Medicine is a mid game resource in After Inc. It increases Fighter healing speed and reduces the chance of the plague situation.

Medicine is unlocked at technology 4. It is also typically found in swamps.

Production[edit | edit source]

Currently, there are 3 ways of producing Medicine (including scavenging).

Herb gardens[edit | edit source]

Herb gardens can be built on Medicine resources (typically in swamps)

Herb gardens cost 3 and 2 , and produce 1.05 units of Medicine monthly.

There can be only one Herb garden per area, but this amount can be increased by 1 per Technology level (also costing 1 more per already existing Herb garden in the area)

Forest Mushroom Picker[edit | edit source]

The Forest Mushroom Picker can only unlock after gain the Mushroom Collecting Guide artifact.

Forest Mushroom Picker cost 2 and 2 on the forest areas. Forest Mushroom Picker produce amount equals Herb gardens.

Forest Mushroom Picker also can only build one per area, and can't upgrade level of this production.

Consumption[edit | edit source]

When the current population is 7 (6 for Brutal/Mega Brutal difficulty), there is a very small chance (or 100% chance if a settlement has a service to consume Medicine) that the settlement will start to consume the Medicine resource, which consumes 1 Medicine at beginning.

Each Settler consumes 0.3 units of Medicine monthly. (Apply only the number population 8, so the number Settler consumes about = population - 7)

Some Services also consume Medicine:

A Small Healing Hut consumes 0.9 units of Medicine. (Satisfies 3 settler, each settler consumes 0.3 units of Medicine. Min amount consumes about 0.3 units of Medicine)
