A New Dawn is the first map in After Inc. As the first map of the game, it doesn't have winter or Zombies.

Geography[edit | edit source]

The map is mostly flat terrain, with a river crossing from North to South West with two crossings. The settlement area is bordering the river. Alongside that, the map has a total of 28 areas, with 12 grasslands, seven mountains, five cities, two swamps and two cities. All areas (except for the settlement area and cities) produce their default respective resources by their classifications. However, one mountain area produces Food (via sheep) instead of Stone, while two areas serve as a way to show the game's plot (a ruined settlement and an abandoned Z-Com fortress).

  • An Orderly Evacuation
    There are no signs of conflict or struggle in this old town. People seem to have left voluntarily before the Necroa Plague hit. They left a lot of things behind - our scavengers will do well here.
  • We Are Not the Only Ones!
    An ancient newspaper talks about survival bunkers being built throughout the country. This means we might be able to find other people out there. Morale significantly increased.
  • Ancient Motorway Found
    The remains of a major road can be seen here. It's been reclaimed by nature but it' still allows faster travel. Where does it lead...
  • An Old Ruined Settlement
    Looks like their emergency bunker didn't last long enough for the Zombies to rot. They had to build on the surface, but didn't last long. Makes you realise how lucky we are...
  • Ruined Z Com Outpost
    Z Com was meant to save the world from the Zombies... Anyways, there's nothing useful here, they must have relocated after building our old survival bunker.
  • Old Map Discovered
    We found a map in the glove box of a rusty car - good job the driver didn't trust sat nav! We've already explored these areas but it will make good kindling.
  • Bicycles Found
    An overturned truck full of well preserved bicycles. now we just need to remember how to ride them! Costs less to Explore and Claim areas with a Motorway in.
  • Hut Found
    We've uncovered an old decaying hut in the middle of the woods. it's boarded up and we can't see in it. What should we do?
    • Ignore: It could be dangerous. Let's not go near it.
    • Search: Enter the hut and search for anything useful. -2 Stamina chance to find an artifact
    • Tear Down: We could salvage this building for Wood. Gain 5 Wood.
  • Old Z Com Relocation Plan
    Our people found some old files in the ruins. It looks like Z Com made everyone leave their homes to avoid attracting Zombies to the region. Wonder if it was voluntary..

Trivia[edit | edit source]

● The achievement "Spoiler Alert" can be found in this scenario, to get it, you will have to explore the west. To access there, you will have to found at South-West a bridge, then you will be able to go through, once there, explore until find it, you will have to wait some seconds until a quote appears ( [ ! ] ) and then a window with some lore will pop, when you close it, you get the achievement!
